Karin Tenelius is the co-founder of Tuff Leadership Training. Inspired by Ricardo Semler in the nineties, she began coaching small organisations in Sweden to become self-managing and it is these stories featured in the book, 'Moose Heads on the Table: Stories About Self-Managing Organisations From Sweden'. Her entrepreneurship is driven by a strong vision to contribute to changing society, focusing on creating workplaces that work for people and liberate the best in them.

Her TedX Business as Commons illustrates the potential she sees in business to be a microcosm of the world we dream of.

Irene is a leadership and team wellbeing specialist who has worked with global organizations of all kinds to foster people-centered leadership, workplace wellbeing and organizational effectiveness. As the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of InsightPact, Irene spends her time coaching teams to work together effectively with wellbeing at the center, and designing conversations that help participants feel safe to express themselves. She is based Berlin, where she works with her multicultural and fully distributed team across APAC and the EU.

Travis Kriplean is the creator of the open source Consider.it platform (https://consider.it) which emerged from his dissertation research. He creates new technologies for fostering constructive discussion on the web. In the past, he has contributed to the development of UrbanSim (http://www.urbansim.org) and conducted research on how Wikipedians work together.

David is author of Impact Networks, catalyst of Converge and co-founder of Hats Protocol. He is also a contributor to Cabin and DAOstar One, and producer of the Impact Networks documentary. He has supported the development of dozens of impact networks in a variety of fields and was a founding coordinator for networks working to advance environmental stewardship, economic mobility, access to science, civic revitalization, and web3. He finds serenity in nature and with music, and is completely mesmerized by his 1-year old daughter.

Nich supports many crypto and web3 projects as an advisor, strategist and writer. She is building the 1kx network and has contributed to learning resources like Mastering Ethereum and cryptoeconomics.study. She mentors software developers who are looking into the space at ConsenSys Academy 

Explorer of distributed leadership and collaborating with money, powering up human process with open source tech. After co-creating Enspiral, Cobudget, and Loomio, Alanna joined Open Collective, a legal and financial toolbox for thousands of collaborative communities around the world, which helps them raise and manage money in full transparency, without needing to worry about incorporation, taxes, or getting nonprofit status. Based in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Hugh Francis grew up in Australia where he founded an internet record label that led him to NYC, and eventually turned UX designer and software developer. Today, he leads garden3d, a collective of creative studios & enterprises (Sanctuary Computer, XXIX, Hydraulics, Seaborne, Index Space) working across design, technology, and sustainability disciplines.

Erika Koskela is an enrolled member of the Round Valley Tribes of California, and a descendant of the Chinook and Quinault tribes of Washington. She has lived in Montana for 16 years, mainly on the Flathead Reservation, where she attended SKC receiving degrees in Psychology and Social Work. Erika became involved with Nkwusm Immersion School in 2002 as a parent, where she proceeded to engage in Salish language revitalization as a board member, substitute teacher, cultural specialist, and student. In 2019 Erika cofounded Snqweylmistn on the Flathead Reservation, to nurture Indigenous community through experiential learning and traditional lifeways. In 2021, she became the first employee of Snqweylmistn assuming the role of Chief Administrator.

Theo is a researcher and consultant working at the intersections of economics, governance and technology. His experiences of decentralised governance and participatory process design have led to a particular interest in what the organisations and institutions of the future look like, and the role these might play in the new economy. He’s also an avid martial artist, although despite his love of fighting he remains a committed pacifist in his day to day life. He’s just as confused by this seeming contradiction as everyone else.

Frieda is a transformative coach and mediator, recently published author, and entrepreneur with a passion for supporting women and courageous leadership. She freelances as an executive and mentor coach, facilitates conflict and collaboration competency, and co-designs leadership development programs for mission-driven companies who put people first.

Caroline Woolard is an artist, educator, and the Chief Culture Officer at Open Collective, a technology platform that supports 15,000 groups to raise and spend $35 million a year in full transparency. She is a founding co-organizer of Art Coop which exists to grow the Solidarity Economy movement by centering systems change work led by artists, and is the co-author of three books: Making and Being (Pioneer Works, 2019), Art, Engagement, Economy (onomatopee, 2020) and TRADE SCHOOL: 2009-2019. Her artwork has been featured twice on New York Close Up (2014, 2016), a digital film series produced by Art21 and broadcast on PBS.

Francesca’s work is dedicated to creating organizing structures and cultures that contribute to a more healthy system for all. As founding partner of Greaterthan, Edmund Hillary Fellow and co-lead at Cobudget, she guides, facilitate, and trains organizations and teams on the topics of participatory governance, network building, self-organizing, collaborative decision-making and budgeting.

Rich is enthusiastic about co-ownership, self-governance and building relationships of partnership instead of domination to create collaborative workplaces. Co-founder of The Hum and the Loomio coop, and Director of the Enspiral Foundation, he has a unique way of seeing patterns and speaking about complexity in simple words.

Lisa Gill is an organisational self-management coach and trainer with Tuff Leadership Training. She was included in the Thinkers50 Radar 2020 for her work with self-managing teams. Lisa is also the host of the Leadermorphosis podcast and the author of 'Moose Heads on the Table: Stories About Self-Managing Organisations from Sweden' (2020).

Carri is a systems strategist and masterful facilitator who partners with collaborative leaders to cultivate thriving organizations and networks. She has been consulting and coaching for more than 20 years. Her clients include regional and global networks, coordination teams, and executives at regenerative organizations. She brings a bright spirit of generosity, detail-orientation, and a patient, caring essence supports people navigating change. She is based in Portland, Oregon and enjoys working globally. Carri holds a BA in Political Theory and a MA in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management. She is certified as a True Purpose and HeartMath Coach.

Kate is a patterns thinker, governance nerd, big time reader and part time researcher. She works on business innovation from the lens of networked and participatory organizing. Currently she contributes to Centrifuge, the decentralised asset financing protocol, on governance and community building. She has been involved in DAOs since 2018 and brings to them her experience of self-managing organisations as a founding partner of Greaterthan and a long-time member of Enspiral. She is co-author of the 2020 paper 'The Dissensus Protocol' and has contributed to research papers for the European Commission about blockchains for social and public good.

Shruthi Vijayakumar is a Tamilian, hailing from South India currently based in Aotearoa New Zealand. She works as a leadership coach and facilitator suporting impact driven leaders and teams who are committed to a pioneering a more regenerative way of doing business. Shruthi draws a lot of inspiration from her Eastern Vedantic roots, from Nature, as well as the teachings of Indigenous Elders in approaching her work. She has an MBA from the University of Oxford, has shared her work in various platforms including the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos and loves a long hike or musical jam session. 

April Iris Charlo comes from the Bitterroot Salish people and is a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. She holds several degrees: a Master’s in Education Leadership, a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, and an Associate’s in Native American Studies. April was born and raised on the Flathead Reservation in Northwest Montana and is a key player in the arena of community wellness. She has been deeply involved in the revitalization of Indigenous language and has worked in the role of Executive Director of the Salish people’s language immersion school. April started Snqʷeyłmistn, an organization to support her community during the pandemic. Snqʷeyłmistn is an Indigenous founded and operated non-profit organization that nurtures Indigenous community through experiential ways of learning and traditional ways of life. Somehow, she has still made time for self-healing, running, and enjoying her son on her ranch in the Mission Mountains.

Throughout her career as a designer and producer, Elie has led creative community engagement practices in many different forms. In her role as director of Index, she considers how intentional gatherings can shape new visions for a better future. Elie is based in New York City.

Jacob is a self-taught graphic designer also experimenting in type design, programming, and photography. He got his first design job at age 27, has won no awards for his work, and after burning out from agency and in-house experience, co-founded XXIX. He is a faculty member at Parsons School of Design and visiting professor at HBKSaar, and gives talks and workshops throughout the year.

Kevin is the co-founder of consider.it and passionate about helping groups thrive by better understanding the needs of the collective. He is based in Hawaii and works with groups aross the world. 

Vicki Saunders is an entrepreneur, award-winning mentor, advisor to the next generation of change makers and leading advocate for entrepreneurship as a way of creating positive transformation in the world. Vicki is Founder of Coralus (formally SheEO) and #radical generosity a global initiative to radically transform how we support finance and celebrate female entrepreneurs.

Hugi is an instigator of participatory places, events, and communities. He serves multiple projects including Blivande, Cobudget and Edgeryders and loves to make decentralised communities tick and tock.

Lana is a Filipina, now based in the Netherlands, who designs spaces for “KAPWA” (shared inner selves) to flourish. She guides founders, community leaders and changemakers in re-imagining, designing and facilitating spaces for belonging, liberation and healing. Lana is the chairperson of the Neurodiversity Foundation, and co-founders of Community Rituals and Neurodiversity Education Academy.

Michel facilitates the co-creation of planetary communities. He works with a variety of global networks such as the League of Intrapreneurs, Responsible Leaders Network and WWF to help grow community and cultivate a culture of genuine co-creation. Prior, Michel co-founded Impact Hub Zürich and led the transition of the global Impact Hub network towards a distributed organization with 100+ spaces across the world.

Helen’s purpose is to demonstrate new ways of working, where the wellbeing of people and colleagues’ matter, in ways where communities benefit. This has to start with compassion, for ourselves, each other and together in communities. Helen is the founder of Wellbeing Teams, innovative, small, self-managed neighbourhood teams inspired by Buurtzorg. She is a visiting Professor in Digital Solutions with the University of Chester. She is also co-founder of charity Community Circles, creating solutions to loneliness together. She is one of 50 New Radicals in the UK, and is award winning for innovation in health and care and value-based recruitment. Helen was the Department of Health’s expert advisor on person-centred approaches for 10 years and is the author of over twenty books and is a TedX speaker. Helen podcasts on self-managed teams in health and care, in her podcast called ‘A cup of teal with Helen Sanderson.’.

Maria is a strategic advisor, collaborator, and facilitator. She supports impact-driven teams tackle complex challenges by leveraging systems thinking, design, and emergent strategy principles. Over the last eight years, Maria has focused on understanding food and agricultural systems, exploring pathways to transformation, and activating teams to co-build the food futures we desperately need. Her passion to be part of building inclusive and regenerative food systems has brought her to work with The World Bank, Food System 6, Oxfam International, The Rockefeller Foundation, Meridian Institute, SecondMuse, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, among many others. Maria received an MPP from UC Berkeley, where she focused on food policy, systems thinking, and innovation.

Elena weaves the critical and empirical approaches of her academic background (researching collaborative networks), with her lived experiences within emergent, human-centred and self-managing organisations. One side of her loves working with(in) the rich and juicy realm of relational dynamics, and leveraging these to support personal, organisational and system change. Another side of her loves building systems, tools and interfaces to help complex systems better see themselves.

Tatiana Glad is an entrepreneur, sustainability practitioner and change strategist with a focus on impact entrepreneurship, social innovation, and sustainable business. Tatiana is Executive Director of the global Impact Hub Network and co-founder of social enterprises Impact Hub Amsterdam and Waterlution. She has a MSc in Responsible Business Practice, is on the University of Amsterdam Honours Programme Sustainability Board and previously served as an appointed expert to the City of Amsterdam’s Social Entrepreneurship action program and as Supervisory Group chair of AIESEC International. As a steward of the Art of Hosting, participatory community building is at the core of her work, coupled with experience working in a global financial institution, public sector innovation and small enterprise. Tatiana is Canadian, based in Amsterdam.

Jason Teeters is an Industrial Organization Psychologist and Nurturer who believes economic and social systems can be built inclusively and not at the expense of human dignity and health of planet. As Nurturing Lead at Collaboratory, Jason helps people overcome the emotional, psychological, and technical challenges to successful collaboration, so together we can create new possibilities for ourselves, our community, and the world. Jason has designed and delivered programs focused on building stronger and more inclusive communities. Communities where relational wealth and social currencies help people move from transactional to transformational impact. His work includes partners such as The Rockefeller Foundation, United Nations, Center for Disease Control and Prevention Global Health Fellowship, SecondMse, W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the NGO Movember, where he delivered the first ever mental health and wellness program for Black men. Outside of work, Jason enjoys traveling the world with his wife, who is a fine art International Wedding Designer. They have two children, daughter Marra (5), and son Kesh.

Alícia is a designer and facilitator of distributed leadership, ecosystem building and decentralised governance. In addition to practicing these in her own communities, she has co-authored research on these topics and is currently undertaking a PHD with the Tallin University of Technology under the Cosmolocalism project led by the P2P lab.

Her work is focused on how self-organised teams and communities can be places for personal growth and seeds to transform our socioeconomic system. In the past seven years, she has been a catalyst for several social innovation organisations, from social start-ups, NGOs, to a women network, to social movements.

For over a decade Simon has worked as an entrepreneur launching projects and teams transforming the ways we live, work and play. Simon combines systems thinking, business acumen and co-creative processes to generate innovative strategies and execute on opportunities at the nexus of organizational and socio-ecological transformation. Before joining Percolab in Montreal, Simon lived in China for 13 years, where he launched Mercedes Benz’s digital innovation lab in Beijing, won the Reddot Product Design Award and TechCrunch startup competition for creating ATMOBLUE, as well as pioneered several sustainable lifestyle projects in fashion, travel, and F&B. His latest adventure saw him sail across the Pacific Ocean.

Papua New Guinean-Australian Paff Evara is a digital marketer turned creator, speaker and web3 founder. After going viral on TikTok during lockdown, Paff built an audience of over 110K people who followed along as they came out as lesbian, non-binary and neurodivergent - all while inspiring others to be their authentic selves. Wanting to extend their impact, Paff and their wife Han founded Take Up Space, a tokenised community turned decentralised media company. Take Up Space's mission is to amplify diverse voices and make the media landscape more equitable using web3 technology.

Mara is a creative change-maker, passionate about human interaction, communication and sustainability. She founded a company called Visuality 8 years ago. Visuality combines the superpowers of visuals, facilitation and coaching to help clients to drive positive change in this world.

Kaarel is the Process Architect for Wikimedia 2030 Movement Strategy process, currently focussing on supporting the governance reform of this global movement. He is a collaboration enthusiast and has been working with non-profits in different fields for about 15 years now. His passion is enabling people to do better work together with his particular lens of process architecture and design.

Lena was the Minister of Labour and Social Development in the Sudan government post-revolution in 2019 until February 2021. She is a cofounder of Impact Hub Khartoum since 2015 and recently got appointed as a board member in the Impact Hub Association Board. In addition, Lena also established the CSR Department in DAL Group in 2009 and was the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Manager for Sayga/DAL Food until Aug 2014.

She was the Sudan adviser for the UN Global Compact Office in New York and had launched the Sudan network in 2008. She is a firm believer in the vast opportunities a partnership between the different stakeholders can bring and how that can contribute to the SDGs and creating the societal impact needed to bring about positive change. She has joined Ubuntu Lab Africa as a national coordinator since 2017 and is also a member of the Global Transformation Thinkers Network which focuses on democracy and good governance.
